Most Countax tractors are fitted with standard size collecting cutter decks. However, different sizes and mulching decks are also available. Choose the cutter deck to suit your requirements.
IBS Cutter Decks
A Countax tractor has a world-wide reputation as a fine lawnmower with uncloggable cutting and collection ability. The secret is in our unique Interactive Blade System (IBS) cutter deck. With three, razor sharp integrated blades spinning, the grass is finely cut then directed to a discharge chute at the rear of the deck. Here, the grass is laid out in front of the Powered Grass Collector ready for collection.
Lawn Mulching Decks
With the introduction of our first mulching deck some 10 years ago, Countax revolutionised the mulch mowing process. Our triple bladed deck features three moulded internal compartments that allow the grass to be cut, then cut again. The minute grass particles are forced back deep into the turf. To the naked eye the mulched grass is hardly visible, and after only a short period of time the clippings decompose, returning valuable moisture and nutrients back to the roots of the grass plant. High Grass Mulch Decks
In areas where you have long and rough grass to cut (see picture below), the Countax High Grass Mulching deck is the answer. It will easily and quickly convert an area of tussocky grass, brambles and high nettles into a neat paddock, and make light work of clearing the tallest weeds in an overgrown orchard.
Using the same principle as agricultural mulchers, the Countax High Grass Mulching deck has chains positioned fore and aft which prevent rough growth, brambles and scrub from escaping. The chains force material to encounter the six mulching cutter blades. The blades chop time and time again to reduce cuttings to fine particles.
