The perfect lawn is not complete until you have used a scarifier. They free your lawn of thatch, in other words dead grass and grass clippings. Thatch is a breeding ground for fungi and mould, it traps moisture at the surface, prevents the development of strong grass roots and promotes the growth of moss. You should therefore scarify your lawn at least twice a year - preferably on a dry day in spring and in autum, before and after the main period of growth. A scarifier is subject to high wear and tear and all our tools are therefore made to be particularly robust.
