Any job worth doing is worth doing well!  That's why the heavy duty John Deere X740 series tractors are designed to deliver precision results without painstaking efforts.  Once you ease your way into the 6-way adjustable high back seat, tilt your steering wheel, set your cruise control and hydraulically lower your mower deck, you'll see just how easy it is to cut large mowing jobs down to size. 

Couple your comfort with a deep mower deck design and you have a unit that provides an even smoother cut at faster ground speeds. 

Fitted with a high torque and extremely fuel efficient 3-cylinder liquid cooled Yanmar diesel engine, giving you up to 10 times fuel saving over a similar petrol engine! 

Other features include a durable cast iron front axle with greasable spindles, extra heavy duty integrated hydrostatic transaxle with automatic 2 pedal control and a  traction assist differential lock pedal.  The John Deere X740 comes standard with 2-wheel drive.

Attachments easily go on and off thanks to Quick Hitch and colour-coded accessible hydraulic quick couplers. Dual select control valves let you effortlessly operate attachments like a front loader. Tackle practically any job under the sun with one of several front, rear or mid mounted attachments available for the John Deere X740 series. 

Realise maximum fuel efficiency by using agricultural (red) diesel.  At only approximately one half of the cost of road diesel, the frugal Yanmar diesel engine can cut your running costs by up to four times!  You may even find that your oil fired central heating system uses the same fuel oil, meaning that you already have a fuel tank on site!  Call us or click here for more information.
