Designed for professional use, the STIHL BRA 500 is a cordless backpack blower that delivers exceptional power and comfort. Running on two AP batteries from STIHL’s AP System, the 72-volt motor generates a maximum blowing force of 32 newtons – putting it on par with the BR 600 petrol backpack blower.
The BRA 500 is perfectly suited to tough clearing jobs, including large parks, pathways, fields and street cleaning. Its high air output makes short work of heavy and wet leaves, grass cuttings, hedge trimmings and other debris. Constant power technology ensures the blower maintains full performance throughout the entire battery charge.
Although the blower weighs 14.5 kg with two AP 500 S batteries installed, excellent balance makes it comfortable to use for extended periods. The motor and batteries sit close to the operator’s back, improving weight distribution and reducing fatigue compared to petrol alternatives. A high-quality padded harness system, shared with the BR 800, further enhances operator comfort.
Noise levels are kept to a minimum thanks to STIHL’s integrated noise reduction system. Lower fan speeds and built-in sound insulation reduce high-frequency noise, making the BRA 500 more suitable for use in public and noise-sensitive environments.
The aluminium base tube adds durability and makes transporting the blower easier. The electronic control handle allows users to select between Low, Mid, High and Boost modes and displays key information including battery status, cruise control, connectivity and diagnostics. STIHL Connected is built directly into the machine. An optional adjustable round nozzle is available separately, allowing quick switching between maximum air speed and maximum air volume.
The BRA 500 must be operated using two AP batteries and cannot be used with just one. For the longest possible runtime, STIHL recommends using two AP 500 S batteries.

CRUISE CONTROL - KEEP THE THROTTLE POSITION CONSTANT FOR LONGER PERIODS. You can lock the throttle at any preferred position, even between levels. This relieves the strain on your index finger during longer periods of continual use.
ERGONOMIC CARRYING SYSTEM - VERY COMFORTABLE TO USE. This high-quality, ergonomic carrying system offers a high level of comfort as you work. Its S-shaped shoulder straps and hip belt ensure a comfortable fit, improve weight distribution, and in this way support you during long periods of use in particular.
BLOWER TUBE HOLDER - TRANSPORT MADE EASIER. The practical retainer lets you easily and securely attach the blower pipe directly to the blower so that you can effortlessly and easily transport it, without the blower pipe getting in the way.
QUICK ADJUSTMENT OF BLOWER TUBE LENGTH - FOR COMFORT WHEN WORKING IN TIGHT SPOTS AND CORNERS. The length of the blower tube can be adjusted on an infinitely variable basis, for example for use in narrow work areas or corners. The blower lance can be extended again just as easily. You can open and close the fastening of the blower tube by turning the ring.

IPX4 CERTIFIED - SPLASHWATER PROTECTION. The IPX protection classes define the moisture protection of electrical or electronic devices. The moisture protection test is defined in different stages.
